Day 1
City wall, draft banks, temples on foot.
Morning: Climb the wall at North Gate; walk the ramparts. Lunch: Shanxi knife-cut noodles (刀削面) + aged vinegar. Afternoon: Rishengchang draft bank, City Tower, old official residences (combo ticket). Evening: Rooftop tea in your courtyard guesthouse; lantern-lit South Street.
Day 2
Wang Family Courtyard + Zhangbi tunnels.
Morning: Drive to Wang Family Courtyard (~40 min) — the 'Forbidden City of Shanxi'. Afternoon: Zhangbi Underground Castle tunnels. Evening: Return to Pingyao / onward train to Xi'an or Datong.
