Sanya, on the southern tip of Hainan Island, is China's answer to a tropical beach holiday: warm sea year-round, resort bays (Yalong, Dadonghai, Haitang), duty-free shopping, and seafood night markets. Hainan also offers a generous visa-free entry policy for many nationalities, making it one of the easiest parts of China to visit spontaneously.
